This map is part of the
FSFE's Router Freedom initiative.
It contains the monitoring data of rules regarding the definition of the Network Termination Point (NTP).
You can obtain information by clicking on a country icon. The tracker is updated regularly.
Green icons represent countries which formally recognise Router Freedom. They have determined the location of the NTP at Point A, or officially stated the right of end-users to choose and use their own routers/modems for internet connection.
Yellow icons represent countries where have regulated Router Freedom but imposed additional restrictions. For example, they may have set the position of the NTP at Point A as default but excluded one network topology from this freedom.
Red icons include countries which have not regulated Router Freedom, or officially set the position of the NTP at points B or C.
