Standing Rock Sourdough caretakers

created at 4/24/2019 - modified at 4/24/2019

This is a map of people who have received and are taking care of the sourdough starter that was started by Maricella and her partner Truk in the kitchens of the Standing Rock camp in 2016. This map is here to vizualize the spread of the hard-working bacterias that came together to form this sourdough. It is one way to symbolize how the spirit of this milestone in the resistance of Native Americans is still alive and spreading globally. The gathering that happened at Standing Rock was to oppose the construction of the Keystone and Dakota Access Pipeline during the largest gathering of native Americans since Wounded Knee in 1890. You have received that sourdough and want to be added to the map? Fill the form here: https://goo.gl/forms/oPtCwzqmuKmF69H52 This map is maintained by Adrien Labaeye.
